TCA’s 2024 Bash at the Breeders’ Cup, presented by Churchill Downs, was a spectacular evening of celebration, philanthropy, and racing excitement. Held during one of the most prestigious weekends in Thoroughbred racing at the Breeders’ Cup in Del Mar, California, the event brought together industry leaders, horse racing fans and supporters to raise funds for TCA’s mission of improving the lives of Thoroughbreds and those who care for them.
The Bash was a beautiful blend of camaraderie and purpose, with guests enjoying live music, delicious food and signature cocktails while mingling with industry icons. As always, the highlight of the evening was the live auction, which featured a range of exclusive, one-of-a-kind items and experiences. From signed memorabilia to VIP racing experiences, the auction items were eagerly bid on, raising significant funds for TCA’s programs, which provide grants for Thoroughbred retirement, rehabilitation and rehoming organizations, as well as education and welfare initiatives for the racing community.
Auction Results: A Night of Generosity and Bidding Frenzy
The live auction was a huge success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the attendees and the generosity of the donors. The auction featured an incredible selection of items, including exclusive race day experiences, unique horse racing memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime packages that captured the spirit of the Breeders’ Cup and the thoroughbred racing world.
One of the top items of the evening was a beautiful amethyst pendant custom created for TCA by Sifuentes Metalsmith from San Antonio, Texas.
