Thoroughbred Charities of America’s recent Bid on the Bluegrass Auction raised more than $33,000 with nearly 1,000 bids placed on 65 items. The funds raised will be granted to approved charities working to support Thoroughbreds and their caretakers.
The online auction offered unique, Kentucky-themed items and experiences including memorabilia associated with many 2022 Kentucky Derby starters. Featured auction items included a John Deere Gator donated by the NTRA, a meet and greet with Zenyatta donated by Lane’s End Farm, a meet and greet with Rachel Alexandra donated by Stonestreet Farm, a Keeneland “behind-the-scenes” package donated by Kurt Becker, Scott Hazelton, Mark Casse, and Keeneland, as well as halters worn by numerous Kentucky Derby starters.
